Black Cable

I've been bouncing arround this option for a while now. What would be some negative consequences if any? Is there a way to trace the signals back to the black boxes? Good cable is so expensive today. Why? Are they really monopolizing the industry?

If there are three houses, I am on the left - one in the middle and another to the right. If i yelled over from my house to the house to the right of me, and the middle one still heard my voice, he heard my voice whether he wanted to or not. now we can all agree that theft is theft, but, I am not sure if this one qualifies as theft, as the signal is already there. so, whos to know what is right in this matter? Should the cable company be charged with trespassing because they are running invisable signals accross your property? Its a known fact that these powers are very strong and can cause health problems. What about cell phones, etc. can I sue this company if I get cancer because of exposure to something i didnt agree to? What about the birds and the butterflies and bees that die because of these signals.???

Is there any difference between the old black coaxial cable and the new white coaxial cable they use now. I want to run cable out to the garage and the neighbor has a spool of black wire but I also want to hook up internet and they usually install the white coaxial these days and don't want to run the black coaxial if it isn't going to work the best for internet applications. Are they differenet grades of wire? What should I be looking for to run internet? Or will the black coaxial be fine?

the color isnt anything... just the insulations of the cable its the RG that you need to be looking at.. the higher the RG the better the cable.. the better the signal gets all the way to the end without any loss

I unplugged my tv and my cable box to move them to another area, and when i plugged them back in, the cable box wont go on. Its the small black one, not the big silver main one. Help please? What do i to to turn on the cable box?

Which black box? If it's the one with the silver remote, then press the cable button, and then the gray power button on the remote to try to turn the box on. If it's got a black remote, then there's no hope, unless it's a prob with your power outlet. Unplug the box from the power, leave it out for 30 secs, then plug it back in. If still no, try the box at a different outlet. If none of this works, then it's probably no good. The smaller boxes are more sensitive; not as sturdy as the big ones, and even just moving the box between rooms could mess them up. Get it replaced. You can just take it down to your local service center.

Yellow represents Video. The Black is therefore Audio. Your TV has Red (right channel) and White (left channel) Audio input jacks. Use the left one--often it will feed audio to both channels if the right jack isn't being used.
